This course equips students with the necessary knowledge, skills and competence to take on supervisory roles in professional healthcare. Students are taught to manage themselves, their work and the people they work with more effectively.
Students are introduced to management in the health services for those wishing to build upon their experience and to gain a formal qualification in management. On completion of the programme graduates will have the following skills:
• Appreciation of fundamental core health service management principles and theories
• A comprehensive range of management techniques to improve performances at an individual, team and organisational level within the health services
• Improved interpersonal skills, confidence and ability to achieve personal targets and goals
