This one year programme enables students to become professional, reflective practitioners with an integrated approach in early childhood care and education. Students will achieve skills in the area of children’s play, art and craft, social studies, child development and children with additional needs. A supervised work placement also allows students to link theory to practice and gain valuable experience in different childcare settings.
Candidates should be of Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent, or relevant experience in the area of childcare combined with a strong interest in working with children. Applications are especially invited from mature students. Final selection subject to interview and all applicants may be subject to Garda Vetting.
