This is a Full-time One Year course which runs from Sept. to May. Exact details of the timetable will be given out to students during the induction process prior to class commencement in September.
Overview
This course is intended for students who have an interest in the strategic and practical areas of business and marketing. The marketing and public relations landscape is changing with the development of Social Media and its use by many organisations, and students will learn to compete in this landscape. Modern business practices using relevant innovative technologies are at the core of this course. Students will gain applied experience by assisting in marketing initiatives, organising events, attending workshops, and completing a two-week work placement programme. They will acquire industry insights from guest speakers. This Pre-University course is an excellent foundation for those wishing to pursue Higher Education degree programmes in TCD, UCD, DCU, NUI Maynooth and other colleges.
Entry Requirements
One of the following:
- Leaving Certificate (LC Established LCVP, LCA) or equivalent
- A Full Level 4 QQI/FETAC Award (or equivalent)
- For Mature Applicants (aged 21 or over) – appropriate experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
- Applicants whose first language is not English require level B1 competency on the CEFR language framework. Applicants may be required to undergo English language testing to establish their language competency.
